Here’s How to Use STANDSTILL!

Like with any new tool, it takes a little practice to get started. Just like an artist needs to test a new brush before it flows naturally, you’ll need to get a feel for how STANDSTILL works.

Experiment, explore & enjoy the process!

Printing Tips

Note: Printers with a bottom paper feed work more reliably!

  1. Only insert one sheet at a time. And leave a stack of normal paper in the tray.
  2. The printer must pull in the sheet from the sealed edge.
  3. Place a small word at the upper edge of the page, to ensure the print starts evenly from the top and the sheet isn’t skipped.
  4. Use ‘Normal paper’ settings. Do not switch to ‘Photo paper’ or ‚Label’.
  5. Don't print black. Print only in colors like magenta or cyan. Black is pigment based and can smear on the film, thats often the point where the paper gets jammed in the printer.
  6. Don't print borderless. Ensure there's a good amount of a margin so the design stays well within the edges of the sheet.
  7. If the film still gets wrinkled up, you can try taping all sides with some tape.

If you are using top-loading printer: Seal the open edge with painter’s tape across the full width. Make sure the printer feeds the sheet from this edge.
